Home Counties Couriers was originally established as Hand Delivery Ltd in 1992 by our current Managing Director, Bob Allen, to satisfy the growing demand for same day couriers by local businesses in both St. Albans and the surrounding areas such as Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Enfield and Harpenden.
Since the 1990’s, in response to our customers’ needs, we have constantly developed and improved our range of services. Alongside our original UK Same Day Express service, we added UK Overnight, International Courier & International Freight, Worldwide Imports, Europe-wide Same Day and an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Emergency Service.
We also take great pride in our in-house customer services team, which consistently wins praise from customers for their ability to resolve any parcel delivery queries quickly and effectively.
Over the years we have moved into progressively larger premises, but are still based within five miles of our original HQ and therefore have intimate knowledge of the Home Counties region.
We continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies and services, in order to provide our customers with the delivery and reporting information they need to enhance their overall experience, and that of their end customers.
